A Love Story
My grandparents Helen and Abol Ghassem fell in love at Harlem Hospital in New York in 1927. Helen loved the stories my grandfather recited to her from Iran’s national epic - the Shahnameh - here is one of her favorites - the story of Zal and Rudabeh.
