I have not read your book, but I remember you from TV, you were too good looking for our TV those days!!
I am a moslim and an iranian and this is the first time I am seeing a woman talks about women rights without denying islam. I dont practice religion but I hate to deny it either. religion is a refuge for me and it makes me a better person. So I am born a moslim, that is my religion and my refuge when I feel hopeless. It is beeing abused everyday that I feel lost.I dont like it when people abuse it. Wasnt it bad enough that I wittnessed so many injustice under name of Islam? I saw how a non eligible men became our religious leaders that young kids died for!! Now that I live in western culture I have to deal with politics and stereo typing that comes from media. Those who stick to their culture and religion with balance are the best people. I just wanted to thank you for appraising the refuge that I felt is locking out by today’s world events.
Regards
Shabnam
