Haji Hasan job was to lead caravan journeys to Mecca in Saudi Arabia. Hasan’s work was to make the pilgrimage and carry objects to Mecca on behalf of people who were unable to do so themselves. There, he would see that the objects were blessed and returned to the owners as a sacred memento.
